Most company searches can become a standing alert. When a company starts to match it (a new incorporation in your sector, a £50m+ business appointing a director, new accounts that take a firm past your turnover line), it lands in your Activity feed and in an email digest, daily, weekly or monthly.
- Build a search, or open a ready-made one marked Can alert
- Save it and switch alerts on
- New matches arrive in Activity and by email
Keep named companies in a list too. Add clients, customers or targets with Track on any profile, or paste or upload a list on Professional, and see each company's latest activity (new accounts, a director appointed, new shares issued) and an estimated next accounts date in one table.

Frequently asked questions.
What is CompanyTrack?
CompanyTrack is a UK company data platform. Search every active UK company by financials, growth, ownership, directors and location, then open a full profile on any of them: accounts, owners and shareholders, directors, raises, lenders, trade and property, wherever a company has them. Save a search and we re-run it every night. Company records are refreshed daily.
Where does the data come from?
The Companies House register and filings (accounts, officers, the PSC register, charges and share allotments), used under the Open Government Licence, plus HMRC trade data, HM Land Registry titles, grants and funding rounds. The register is refreshed daily, and every figure on this page shows the date it's as of.
Is it free to get started?
Yes. Without an account you can run 50 searches a day and see the first 50 results of each, financials included, and open 20 company or director profiles a day (up to 60 after a quick check that you're human). A company profile shows every year of accounts on record and its share issues. You can reveal the website, email and phone of up to 20 companies a day. A plan adds up to 20 pages of 50 results per search, saved searches and alerts, lists, CSV export of the rows you select, shareholder search and full shareholder lists. Starter and Professional start with a 3-day free trial that includes everything in Professional. On a plan, searches and company pages cost 1 credit each, with 500 to 10,000 credits a month.
What can I search by?
More than 20 filters you can combine: industry and SIC code, location and radius, turnover, EBITDA, cash and net assets, one-, three- and five-year growth, headcount, incorporation date, ownership shape, owner age, directors, importers and exporters, property titles and keywords. On a paid plan you can also filter by the accountant or auditor named on the accounts; on Professional, by share issues.
Can I search directors and shareholders too?
Yes. Director search finds people by name, nationality, age and number of appointments, and every director profile lists their current and former appointments. Shareholder search, by holder and stake, is on paid plans.
Can I monitor companies for changes?
Yes, in two ways. Save any company search and we re-run it every night: companies that newly match are added to your Activity feed and an email digest, daily, weekly or monthly. Or keep named companies in a list, which shows each one's latest activity (such as new accounts or a new director) and an estimated next accounts date. Alerts don't yet fire for each update at a named company or when a company enters administration, and director and shareholder searches can be saved but don't alert.
How is this different from Companies House?
Companies House publishes filings one company at a time, and its free Follow service emails you when a company you've named files something. CompanyTrack reads those filings into numbers you can search across the whole register (turnover, growth, owner age and ownership, plus share allotments on Professional), and saved searches find companies you didn't know to look for.
Is this a credit check?
No. CompanyTrack doesn't provide credit scores, credit limits, CCJs or winding-up petitions. It's company data: accounts, directors, owners, secured lending and share issues.
Can I export data?
On every paid plan you can export the rows you select to CSV, up to 50 a page, and every plan's credits work in the app, the API and the MCP server. Bulk matching of company names or numbers comes with Professional and Business.
Do I need to talk to sales, and can I change plan later?
No sales call needed. Prices are on the pricing page, searching needs no account, and upgrades, downgrades and cancellations are self-serve from the Billing page. Starter and Professional start with a 3-day free trial.
How do you know which 2024 raises had no round in Crunchbase or our news feed?
Private limited companies whose own SH01 filings show £1m–£100m of new shares allotted in 2024 (electronically filed and parsed, in sterling, past our plausibility check, one- and two-share intra-group allotments excluded), with 3+ shareholders, leaving out acquisition vehicles (topco, midco, bidco and the like) and holding-company, investment-fund, property-investment, dormant and non-trading SIC codes: 1,940 companies. 1,234 of them (63.6%) had no funding round in either source we cross-checked: a Crunchbase snapshot matched by company number (rounds announced Oct 2023 to Mar 2025; the snapshot ends 7 Feb 2025) and our news-extracted funding feed over the same window. A raise may still have been reported somewhere we did not check.
