Frequently asked questions.

What's in a director profile?

A director's full UK appointment history — current and former roles across companies, with role, occupation, appointed and resigned dates and tenure duration. You also get each company's current status (including dissolved, in liquidation or administration), founding date and headline financials where filed, plus a connected-company network built from shared directors and PSCs, and identity details like nationality, residence, age and occupation.

Where does the data come from?

Official Companies House records — the same statutory source filed by every UK company. We structure it so appointments, resignations and company-status changes reflect the public register, rather than a one-off scrape.

How is it priced?

Director data runs on CompanyTrack's credit system, so you'll need a free account to view full profiles. Every account includes 50 credits a day; lighter actions like a search or profile view cost 1 credit, and an in-depth report costs more — the company credit report, for comparison, is 5 credits. Paid plans raise the daily allowance from 500 up to 10,000 credits for teams running checks at volume. Credits reset daily and there's no card required to start.

Does it flag disqualified directors, insolvency history or sanctions?

No. We don't hold the Disqualified Director Register, CCJ, sanctions, PEP or AML screening feeds, so we don't claim them, and we don't produce a credit or risk score on a person. What we do show is fully evidenced from the public register: a director's complete appointment history and which of their companies are currently dissolved, in liquidation or in administration — so you can see the pattern and judge the risk yourself.

How does this help me spot risk before a deal?

In one profile you can see whether a director is tied to companies that are now dissolved or in liquidation, whether they've resigned from a string of businesses in quick succession, and which other companies they're connected to through shared directors and PSCs. It surfaces the track record and the wider network in seconds, so pre-deal checks that once meant hours of manual digging take minutes — and inform the formal screening you run elsewhere.
